Maya & Friends

I started with the illustrations I created for Maya & Friends Visit the Acupuncturist, written by Samara White, LAc, and turned them into a music video. The experiment was to bring the characters to life with AI animation while preserving the book’s drawing style, textures, and personalities.

I used Codex as a production partner to help plan shots, time scenes to the song, create and revise clips, and edit the final sequence. Kling generated character animation; layered artwork, camera moves, and word-by-word lyric timing helped shape the film. It took repeated reviews and revisions to refine performances, maintain continuity, and get the transitions working with the music.
