Overview

The International Builders’ Show is one of the most important trade shows for many of Twindo’s prospective customers and the industries we serve. IBS 2026 arrived almost immediately after our rebrand, making the event more than a sales opportunity: it was the first chance to unveil the new Twindo identity in person to both new and existing customers.

Alongside directing the rebrand, I took on the creative direction and design of the event experience. The booth had to introduce the new company, explain the product at a glance, and support meaningful conversations once someone stepped inside.

IBS 2026

A flagship trade-show presence built while the new identity was still taking shape: booth architecture, environmental graphics, screen content, collateral, and team touchpoints working as one launch.

I worked closely with our booth vendor to move from the initial mockup to every specific customer touchpoint, often while I was still developing the brand itself. We determined how the booth should flow, which product videos would play, what each piece of signage needed to communicate, and how the experience would shift from attracting someone across the aisle to supporting a conversation inside the space.

The system extended well beyond the structure: swag and brochures for visitors, three coordinated T-shirts for the team, custom backgrounds for the booth’s iPad screens, large-format graphics, and the motion content playing throughout the event. There was a lot to solve at once, but pulling it together made the new brand real. We could show Twindo to customers, hear what resonated with them, and talk with prospective buyers about whether the product could be useful in their work.

Printed collateral carried the product story into conversations at the booth and home with visitors after the show.

Smaller events

A portable booth-in-a-box that adapted the new brand for regional shows and partner events without the cost or complexity of the IBS build.

The IBS booth was a major undertaking and financially impractical to bring to every smaller event where we wanted to send a focused group of people. The solution was a much more portable system: simple backdrops, branded tablecloths, and custom kiosks when an event allowed them. Several iterations accounted for different footprints, restrictions, and conference formats while keeping the experience recognizably Twindo.

The challenge was the same at every scale: stand out in a sea of nearly identical backdrops, give a person walking by enough information to understand what Twindo does, and resist adding so much that their eyes simply pass over it. Strong hierarchy, concise positioning, and the brand’s high-contrast color system let the smaller setups do more with less.
